Before booking please remember:
– Our reception team helps you get the right care quickly. They may ask a few questions to direct you to the best person, such as a GP, nurse, or pharmacist. Your information is kept confidential at all times.
– Appointments are 10 minutes long and cover one or two issues only.
– If you need more time, please book a double appointment.
– If you’d like to see a specific doctor, please mention this when booking.
– If your doctor is unavailable, you’ll be seen by another partner or locum.

If you need to cancel, please inform the surgery. Please do not contact Petersfield Surgery or Lynwood Medical Centre directly. Our DNA (Did Not Attend) policy applies to these appointments.

Appointment Reminders:
If you received an appointment reminder, you can follow the link to cancel.
You can request a home visit by contacting the surgery before 11am.
Your request will then be reviewed by a clinician who may call you back to assess your need and offer a home visit if clinically necessary.
At Straight Road Surgery we are proud to have translation services available for our appointments.
These services are provided mostly over the phone.
British Sign Language services are also available in person, we have to give at least one weeks notice to our provider. So please be mindful of this at the time of booking.
If you need translation services for your appointment, then please state this at the time of booking.
This allows to understand your needs and make extra time available if needed for your appointment.
Reasonable adjustments are changes we can make to help you get the same access to care as everyone else.
This might include:
– Giving you longer appointments
Booking times that suit your needs (within our clinic times.)
Providing information in large print, easy read, or another format
Helping with communication, such as using an interpreter or sign language
Wheelchair accessibility
– Needing a quiet space to wait (where possible.)
– If you would like a chaperone for your appointment

Some people who may require extra help to access care, could include those who:
– Have a disability (physical or learning)
– Have sensory difficulties – such as being blind, partially sighted, deaf, or hard of hearing
– Have mental health conditions or neurodiverse needs (e.g. autism, ADHD)
– Have communication or language difficulties
– Have mobility issues or use wheelchairs or walking aids
– Need information in a different format (like large print or easy read)

If any of these apply to you, please let our team know at the time of booking any appointments, so we can make the right adjustments to support you.
You can now visit your local pharmacy for help with minor illnesses — no need to see a GP.
Pharmacists are trained to give expert advice and treatment for common conditions like:
– Sore throat
– Earache
– Sinusitis
– Coughs and colds
– Insect bites or stings
– Urinary tract infections (Uncomplicated cases for Women aged 16-64)
– Impetigo
– Shingles

If you need medicine, the pharmacist can provide it directly.
If your problem needs a GP or another service, the pharmacist will refer you quickly.

What is the Community Treatment Team?
The Community Treatment Team offer care and support to people outside of a hospital, usually at home.
They help people manage their health conditions while staying in their community.
They can provide support or advice for conditions like:
– A fall (without injury)
– A suspected chest or urine infection
– A sudden worsening of your long term condition

Who Can Use It?
The Community Treatment Team is for anyone over 18 who needs ongoing medical care or support but doesn’t require hospital admission. It’s often used by people with long-term health conditions or those recovering from illness.

How to Get Help:
Call: 0300 300 1660 – Open 7 days a week 8AM – 10PM
You do not need a referral from your GP.
