Please make an appointment with our practice nurse at least 6 weeks prior to overseas travel for immunisation advice. It may be necessary for the Nurse to book you a follow up appointment. Some travel vaccines are not available at GP Surgeries and will require you to attend a specialised travel clinic, the Nurse will advise you if this is the case.
The NHS Health Check is a health check-up for adults in England aged 40 to 74. It’s designed to spot early signs of stroke, kidney disease, heart disease, type 2 diabetes or dementia. As we get older, we have a higher risk of developing one of these conditions. An NHS Health Check helps find ways to lower this risk.
Our nurses run clinics for men and women of any age to help and encourage you to stay healthy. Services include dietary advice, cholesterol measurement, smoking cessation and vaccination updates.
Checks for women also include cervical smears and breast examinations.
