Updates From Straight Road Surgery
Due to the coronavirus outbreak, how you contact us will be different at the moment. This is to limit face-to-face contact whenever possible and help stop the spread of coronavirus.
We are open and if you need to see a GP, please ring us on 01708 343281. Our opening hours are Monday to Friday 8am to 6.30pm.
Please do not come to the surgery unless you have an appointment or have been asked to do so by a member of staff.
You can also call NHS 111 or use eConsult (please see details and link below).
If you are waiting for a check-up, please be assured we will be in touch.
Appointments are being delivered face-to-face, online and over the telephone. If you are asked to come to the surgery for a face-to-face appointment, please remember to wear a face covering. These measures are in place to keep you safe from infection during your visit to the surgery.

GP appointments - telephone consultation only. Should you need an examination then the GP may ask you to come in for a face-to-face appointment..

Entry - if you are permitted entry to the surgery you will be required to wear a mask, please bring your own. Hand sanitiser will be available for your use. You may be required to have your temperature checked.

Intercom: We have recently installed an intercom for use. We ask for your patience after pushing it as staff may already be on the phone dealing with other patients. Staff will be with you as soon as they can.

Face Covering / Mask Exemption
From 24th July 2020 everyone is required to wear a face covering when entering a shop or business. This is in addition to public transport. If you feel you are unable to wear a mask then please visit www.keepsafe.org.uk/mask and download an exemption card. It is NOT the responsibility or role of the Surgery to issue patients with a letter or certificate.

We can automatically send you SMS appointment reminders and you can cancel the appointment quickly and easily by replying to the message, this can be done free of charge via the app.

For this appointment reminder system to be effective you need to ensure that we have your correct mobile number. If you change your number, or if you have any other reason to believe we have an incorrect number, please let the Surgery know as soon as possible.
