Clinics & Services
We are pleased to be able to provide the following clinics and services:
Our maternity services are shared with Queen's Hospital and antenatal clinics are held on Thursday mornings with a female doctor. Community midwife services are also available at the Harold Wood clinic including a baby clinic and advice and support for new mothers.
All of our doctors and practice nurse are trained to provide contraceptive counselling during normal consultation times. We are supported by a community family planning clinic that provides sterilisation and vasectomy services.
Child Health Clinic
Monday and Tuesday clinics run from 11:30 - 12:30 for immunisation, medical checks and development assessments. The clinics are run in conjunction with our health visitor.
Special sessions can be arranged with a doctor for the treatment of warts, minor skin lesions and other minor surgical procedures.
Checks for Specific Health Problems
Our practice nurse, in conjunction with your doctor, can carry out checks for asthma, diabetes, blood pressure, heart disease and chronic obstructive airways disease.
Well Woman/Man Check
Our nurses run clinics for men and women of any age to help and encourage you to stay healthy. Services include dietary advice, cholesterol measurement, smoking cessation and vaccination updates. Checks for women also include cervical smears and breast examinations.
Please see our practice nurse prior to overseas travel for general advice as well as immunisation. You will need to complete a form before you see her and these are available at reception.
